2. Acknowledgment of Service

After the Divorce Petition has been completed and sent to the County Court, the Courts will then check the Petition and issue this to your husband/wife. In legal proceedings, they are known as the Respondent.

The Divorce documentation will be sent to them with instructions on how to complete the Acknowledgment of Service documentation and after they have completed this simple document and returned it to the Court, matters will then progress to stage 3.
